I haven't been posting. Well I haven't really had much to say since we buttoned her up. After one major ice storm and two major snow storms the trailer and tarp are now well coated in the white stuff. Fortunately with all the limbs and trees crashing around it, the airstream went unscathed in the "Great Ice Storm".
We have been without power for 11 days and on the 11th hour of the 11th day power was restored and we all rejoiced!
We have been fortunate for many other things during this storm. For Jon, Thom, Sarah and Daniel and Rob and Nathan for coming up to take care of all the trees and limbs. We are thankful for Helen and Ralph and Merry for being a cozy port in the storm to Sean and I and grateful for Kevin who transported up the two generators and helped get them all wired in. We were grateful for understanding supervisors who helped us through these times when we were stymied and not so productive. Grateful for LG to keep Sean occupied and normal. Grateful for Lucy for helping us do laundry and I am very grateful for Charlie who took care of everything and who was very understanding when I purged the fridge of alot of stuff that might have been ok but I had the willies.
So its now 3 days to Christmas. Last year the airstream (even though it was no where ready for the launch as it is today) got alot of presents: water jugs, camp mugs, lanterns, cutting board/knives. This year not so much as we are all out for Sean. I suspect we will shower her with presents in April.
Now that we have power, I plan to post a bit more over the break...still wondering about folks and their camping adventures.
